Upper Canada and Algonquin Railway

Hi Kids,

I'm offering the Balloon Loop to anyone interested. Free to a good home.

Dimensions are ~5' x ~7' in 5 sections.

All track and wiring is DC / DCC ready.

All hand-laid track [code 100 rail]

Some Scenic treatment has been applied.

The Minumum radius on the curves is 22-inches so it has been relegated to branchline service for Free-MOn30 modules. However, there are generous easements into/out of curves and there have been no problems in operations.

The modules are in storage in North-East Brampton.

I need to get them out of Lynn's basement, and I don't have any room in my condo.

Photos are in the gallery "March 15/08 Work Session"

Take it for Salvage???

Rail: Code 100 and lots of spikes.

Turnouts are functional: Maybe the Frogs could be salvaged.

The IP's could be re-used.

The Anderson Power-Poles and terminal blocks can be transplanted.

Several SPDT and DPDT electrical switches could be saved...

Various hardware could be salvaged from the Pedestal Legs. Plenty of T-Nuts, Carriage Bolts and Hinges.

Help yourself! :-)

I just put a new blade on my circular saw... Too bad that the styrofoam would make such a snow storm of bits...

Another Idea... We could raffle it off at the Christmas Train Show.

Donate it to a worthy cause perhaps?

All I know is that I have no where to keep it and it doesn't fit in with my future model railroad plans...
